Jasper Meade of Pen-y-Coed Insulation www.penycoed-warmcel.com/ was able to move our install forward in his program, so the main activity in early May was preparing for the Warmcel injection into the external and partition stud walls.

A team of 3 installers carried out the work of installing 155 bales of Warmcel 500 within about 4 hours. The install would have been even quicker had we cut holes large enough for their 100mm pipes. An excellent job by an experienced company.

The Warmcel has made a noticeable difference to both the temperature stability and the sound of the building. The walls are dead rather than resonant.

The remainder of May was been spent preparing for then skimming walls upstairs. The majority of the rooms are skimmed and some have been painted with a thinned emulsion coat to reduce dust.

It feels good to be decorating as opposed to building.
